Storage Instructions
Store the Davidoff Millennium Blend Robusto (25) in a stable, quality humidor to preserve its balance and delicate wrapper. Aim for a relative humidity of 65% to 70% and a temperature near 65ºF to 70ºF (18ºC to 21ºC). Keep the humidor closed as much as possible to avoid humidity swings. If you must transport cigars use a travel humidor with a reliable humidification element. Avoid storage above 72ºF (22ºC) to reduce the risk of tobacco beetle activity and to prevent oils from rising to the surface of the wrapper. If the cigars arrive in a sealed box from the factory leave them in that box inside your humidor for an even acclimatisation.
Care Tips
Handle the Davidoff Millennium Blend Robusto (25) gently to protect the wrapper. Hold the cigar by the body rather than squeezing the cap. Use a sharp straight or v-cutter for a clean cut and a smooth draw. After cutting, toast the foot evenly before taking the first draw and take a measured pace while smoking to avoid overheating the cigar. If you have just purchased these cigars from a retailer allow them to rest in your humidor for one to two weeks to fully acclimatise. For enthusiasts who enjoy cellaring, this Robusto can develop additional complexity with careful ageing of one to three years under stable conditions. If a cigar becomes dry, rehydrate slowly by placing it in a humidor at the recommended humidity rather than treating it with direct moisture sources. Rotate boxes occasionally in your humidor to ensure even humidity exposure and check your hygrometer and humidification device regularly to maintain consistent conditions.
Reviews and Ratings
There are limited formal reviews specifically for the Davidoff Millennium Blend Robusto published in major magazines such as Cigar Aficionado or Halfwheel. That said the cigar tends to receive positive feedback from retailers and experienced smokers who comment on Davidoff quality and consistency. Common notes in community discussions praise the cigar for its even construction and balanced flavour profile, describing it as refined rather than aggressive. If you follow ratings for other Davidoff offerings you will see a pattern of solid scores and steady appreciation from aficionados, which sets reasonable expectations for this Robusto boxed in 25.
History and Heritage
Davidoff traces its reputation to Zino Davidoff and decades of dedication to premium tobacco and careful blending. The brand produces its cigars in the Dominican Republic and is known for meticulous craftsmanship, long ageing practices and an emphasis on smooth complexity. The Millennium Blend name suggests a release tied to the turn of the millennium and was conceived to highlight modern Davidoff blending techniques. The Robusto format in a 25 count box reflects a classic, crowd pleasing size that showcases the brand’s signature balance of flavour and refinement.
Tasting Notes
The Davidoff Millennium Blend Robusto (25) presents a polished medium-to-full body that unfolds with elegant complexity from the first draw. Expect a core of rich cedar and dark cocoa layered over espresso and toasted almond, with subtle leather and black pepper building towards the finish. Aromas are distinctly aromatic—woodsmoke, warm spice and a faint floral sweetness—creating a refined, inviting bouquet. The smoke is velvety on the palate, balanced and long-lasting, rewarding slow, contemplative puffs with evolving savoury and sweet nuances.
Pairing Suggestions
Aged Caribbean or Dominican rum, the rum’s caramelised sugar, oak and dried-fruit notes echo the cigar’s cocoa and almond tones while softening the peppery finish. Double espresso or ristretto, concentrated coffee intensity mirrors the cigar’s espresso and dark-cocoa character and refreshes the palate between draws. 70–85% dark chocolate or a small plate of Manchego, the bitter-sweet chocolate or semi-firm cheese highlights the cigar’s cocoa and leather layers and offers a luxurious contrast to its spice and cedar.
