Storage Instructions
For PARTAGAS MILLE FLEURS (25), store in a quality humidor to maintain a stable environment. Aim for a relative humidity of 65% to 70% and a temperature between 68ºF and 70ºF (20ºC to 21ºC). Use a calibrated digital hygrometer and a reliable humidification system for consistent results. Keep the cigars in their original box when possible and place the box on a cedar-lined shelf inside the humidor. Avoid rapid fluctuations in humidity or temperature which can stress the tobacco and affect burn and flavour. For short trips, use a well-sealed travel humidor, and for long-term storage use a properly seasoned humidor to preserve the cigar’s character.
Care Tips
Handle PARTAGAS MILLE FLEURS (25) with clean, dry hands and avoid excessive handling to protect the wrapper oils. When moving cigars in and out of the humidor, lift boxes rather than pulling individual sticks too often. Allow newly purchased cigars to acclimatise in your humidor for 7 to 14 days before smoking to ensure even humidity distribution. If you intend to age these cigars, expect the profile to mellow and integrate with time so consider 6 to 12 months of ageing for subtle development, and up to a few years if you prefer a more rounded experience. Rotate stock occasionally so every cigar sees the same conditions. When you are ready to enjoy one, remove it from the humidor, make a clean cut with a sharp cutter, and let it rest for a minute after lighting to settle into its best burn and flavour.
Reviews and Ratings
Major cigar publications such as Cigar Aficionado and Halfwheel have covered many releases from the Partagas family, but formal reviews specifically for the Mille Fleurs release are limited. That said, feedback from retailers and enthusiasts who have tried this offering tends to emphasise consistent construction and a balanced flavour profile. Where direct ratings are not widely published, readers often look to reviews of comparable Partagas releases to set expectations. Those reviews commonly praise the brand for rich, layered smoke and solid build quality, which gives a useful frame of reference when deciding on the Mille Fleurs.
History and Heritage
Partagas is one of the most storied names in cigar history, founded in Cuba in the 19th century and renowned for bold, full-flavoured blends and meticulous craftsmanship. The Mille Fleurs name, which translates to a thousand flowers, suggests an emphasis on nuance and aromatic complexity within that established Partagas character. Whether produced in Cuba or under licence elsewhere, Mille Fleurs fits into the brand reputation for traditional hand rolling, careful leaf selection, and a focus on delivering a satisfying smoking experience for both seasoned enthusiasts and those exploring Partagas for the first time.
Tasting Notes
The PARTAGAS MILLE FLEURS (25) unfolds as a medium-to-full-bodied experience, marrying Partagas’ signature earthy backbone with unexpected floral lift suggested by its name. Expect dense notes of toasted cedar and rich cocoa layered over a savoury, leathery core, while white pepper and baking spice emerge on the retrohale for a refined bite. Mid-smoke brings a creamy coffee-sweetness and a hint of roasted almond that tempers the cigar’s darker elements, and the finish lingers with warm tobacco sugar and subtle floral aromatics. Aromas on the draw are invitingly tobacco-forward—brown sugar, oak, and a faint perfume of dried flowers—making each puff both robust and nuanced.
Pairing Suggestions
Aged añejo rum, the deep molasses and vanilla of a well-aged rum echo the cigar’s cocoa and tobacco sweetness while softening its peppery edges; Espresso (single or doppio), a rich, dark roast complements the cigar’s coffee and roasted-nut notes and refreshes the palate between puffs; 70–75% dark chocolate or a nutty biscotti, the bittersweet chocolate amplifies the cigar’s cocoa undertones and the crunchy biscotti mirrors its toasted almond character, creating balanced contrasts of texture and flavour.
